Base and top coatings for PVD and Sputtering

Sputtering technology is a Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) process.

For metal and plastic, it is a valid alternative to traditional chrome plating, considered highly polluting and hazardous to human health due to its hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) content.

In Sputtering and PVD processes, harmful emissions are entirely eliminated, since non-polluting “zero valent” metallic chromium is used.

PVD processes allow an almost unlimited number of coatings to be produced for any type of surface, providing high resistance to abrasion and chemicals.

Arsonsisi can provide a range of coatings that are perfect for all elements deposited with coatings using PVD and Sputtering technology.

Coatings for a chrome, brass and steel finish:

  • solvent- and water-based base UV curing coatings for ABS and other plastic materials, metals and thermo-setting resins
  • traditional oven dried base coatings for metals, glass and thermo-setting resins
  • solvent-based top UV curing coatings and traditional oven dried top coatings
  • special base UV curing coatings that give objects a finish with extra thick metallic Chrome, without requiring a protective top coat
